Kitchen & Bath Referral Commission Compensation Plan
This Referral Commission Compensation Plan (“Plan”) outlines the terms and conditions under which referral partners (“Referrer”) may earn commission for referring qualified kitchen or bathroom renovation leads that convert into paying customers of KB&A Home Improvement.
Purpose of the Program
The purpose of this program is to incentivize qualified referrals for kitchen and bathroom renovation projects that result in completed and paid customer contracts. This Plan establishes eligibility requirements, commission structure, payment terms, and legal protections for KB&A The Home Improvement Store.
Definitions
Definitions
- Referrer: An individual or business approved by the Company to submit customer referrals.
- Referral Lead: A potential customer introduced to the Company by the Referrer.
- Qualified Lead: A referral that provides accurate contact information, has a legitimate interest in kitchen or bath renovation services, and has not previously contacted the Company.
- Converted Customer: A referral lead that signs a renovation contract with the Company and submits payment.
- Contract Value: The total renovation price paid to the Company, excluding taxes, financing fees, refunds, or chargebacks.
- Commission: The referral fee paid to the Referrer for a converted customer.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for commission:
- The referral must be submitted prior to any direct contact between KB&A Home Improvement and the customer.
- The referral must be accepted and tracked by the KB&A Home Improvement.
- The customer must sign a contract and submit payment.
- The renovation project must not be canceled, refunded, or disputed.
- The Referrer must comply with all terms of this Plan.
The KB&A Home Improvement reserves sole discretion to determine referral eligibility.
Commission Structure
Commission Structure
Base Commission Rate
- KB&A Home Improvement currently pays 2.5% commission on the final contract value for all qualified and approved referrals that convert into customers.
Variable Commission by Project Value
Commission amounts vary based on the total renovation price. The 2.5% rate applies to:
- Kitchen renovations
- Bathroom renovations
- Combined kitchen and bathroom renovations
The KB&A Home Improvement reserves the right to adjust commission percentages for future referrals with written notice.
Commission Calculation Example
- Contract Value: $30,000
- Commission Rate: 2.5%
- Commission Earned: $750
Commissions are calculated on actual amounts received by the KB&A Home Improvement, not estimated project values.
Payment Terms
Payment Terms
- Commissions are paid at the end of the month in which the customer’s payment is received.
- Payments are issued only after:
- Contract execution
- Customer payment clearance
- Completion of any required rescission period (if applicable)
- Payments are made via:
- Check, ACH, or other method approved by KB&A Home Improvement.
- The Referrer is responsible for providing accurate payment and tax information.
Exclusions and Non-Payable Events
No commission will be paid if:
- The customer cancels or receives a refund.
- Payment is reversed, disputed, or charged back.
- The referral information is incomplete, false, or misleading.
- The referral violates any law, regulation, or this Plan.
- The Referrer attempts to self-refer without Company approval.
If a refund occurs after commission payment, the Company reserves the right to offset or recover the commission.
Independent Contractor Relationship
Independent Contractor Relationship
Referrers are independent contractors and not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of the KB&A Home Improvement. Referrers may not:
- Bind KB&A Home Improvement to any agreement
- Quote pricing or promise services
- Represent themselves as KB&A Home Improvement employees
Marketing and Conduct Rules

Referrers must:
- Follow all applicable advertising, consumer protection, and privacy laws
- Avoid false or misleading statements
- Obtain consent before sharing customer information
- Refrain from spam, harassment, or unethical conduct
Violations may result in immediate termination and forfeiture of unpaid commissions.
Taxes
Taxes
Referrers are solely responsible for:
- All federal, state, and local taxes
- Reporting commission income
- Compliance with tax laws
The Company does not withhold taxes unless required by law.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality
All pricing, customer information, and internal processes are confidential. Referrers may not disclose or use such information for any purpose other than participating in this Plan.
Termination of Participation
Termination of Participation
The Company may terminate this Plan or a Referrer’s participation at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination:
- No future commissions will accrue
- Unpaid commissions for completed and paid contracts may be paid at the Company’s discretion
Limitation of Liability
Limitation of Liability
The Company is not liable for:
- Lost income or business opportunities
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Disputes between Referrer and referred customers
Governing Law
Governing Law
This Plan shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the state/province in which the Company is registered.
Modification of Terms
The Company reserves the right to modify this Plan at any time. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
Acceptance of Terms
By submitting referrals, the Referrer acknowledges and agrees to all terms of this Referral Commission Compensation Plan.
